Bilt Hamber Double Speed-Wax
Bilt Hamber Double Speed-Wax is an easy-to-use, ultra-durable paste wax designed to protect well-prepared automotive paintwork while producing a deep, rich gloss. Its carnauba wax formulation creates a highly water-repellent and detergent-resistant film, making it an effective last-stage protection product for maintaining a high-quality finish.
Double Speed-Wax is particularly suited to paintwork in good condition. It is not an abrasive polish, so faded, rough or heavily contaminated paint should be properly prepared beforehand using suitable polishing and/or clay decontamination. Bilt-Hamber recommends it particularly for lighter-coloured paintwork, although it can safely be used on vehicles of any colour.
The wax is supplied in a 250ml tin with an applicator pad and microfibre cloth. One 250ml tin can provide up to approximately 50 applications on an average-sized vehicle, making a small amount of product go a long way.
Double Speed-Wax can also be used on alloy wheels and PPF, making it a versatile protective wax beyond conventional paintwork.
How to use
Thoroughly wash and dry the vehicle before application. Use a salt-free automotive shampoo and avoid wash-and-wax products, as these can leave residues that reduce the wax's adhesion and durability.
If the paintwork feels rough, is faded or has not been polished for an extended period, decontaminate and polish the surface before applying the wax.
Work on cool panels in the shade. Lightly dampen the supplied applicator pad and wring out excess water. Apply the wax extremely sparingly using light circular motions, then allow it to dull for approximately 5–10 minutes.
Buff to a high shine using the supplied microfibre cloth, turning the cloth frequently. Both the applicator pad and microfibre cloth can be washed and reused; do not use fabric conditioner when washing them.
Under certain humid conditions, the wax may temporarily bloom after application and buffing. This is a characteristic of the carnauba wax and will disappear as the film cures, or can be removed with a slightly damp microfibre cloth.
