Bilt Hamber Auto-Wheel

Bilt Hamber Auto-Wheel is a high-activity, pH-balanced reactive wheel cleaner designed to deep clean alloy, aluminium and steel wheels while requiring minimal mechanical agitation.
Its specialist formulation targets embedded metallic contamination such as brake dust and iron particles, using a chelating process that helps make these contaminants water-soluble so they can be rinsed away. Auto-Wheel also provides strong degreasing action to help remove the surrounding road grime and dirt commonly found on heavily soiled wheels.
The product is non-acidic and non-alkaline, making it a powerful alternative to traditional aggressive wheel cleaners. It is suitable for a wide range of wheel finishes, including painted, lacquered, alloy and steel wheels, and can also be used on diamond-cut alloy wheels.
One of Auto-Wheel's most recognisable features is its colour-changing reaction. As the product reacts with metallic contamination, it changes from clear to a deep red/purple colour, making it easy to see the reaction taking place.
Auto-Wheel is available in 1L and 5L sizes, making it suitable for both occasional detailing and regular professional use.
How to use
Use Auto-Wheel on cool wheels and test on an inconspicuous area before widespread application.
Spray liberally over the wheel, ensuring thorough coverage of the contaminated areas. Allow the product to react for approximately 1–5 minutes, depending on the level of contamination and conditions.
As the product reacts with iron contamination, it will develop its characteristic red/purple colour. Do not allow the product to dry on the surface.
Once the reaction has taken place, thoroughly rinse the wheel using a hose or pressure washer. Heavily contaminated wheels can be gently agitated with a suitable soft wheel brush before rinsing.
For regular maintenance, a suitable car shampoo can be used for routine wheel cleaning, with Auto-Wheel reserved for more significant metallic contamination and brake dust buildup.
