Bilt Hamber Surfex-HD
Bilt Hamber Surfex-HD is a powerful, water-based all-purpose cleaner and degreaser (APC) designed for demanding automotive, commercial and domestic cleaning. Its formulation provides cleaning performance comparable with solvent-based systems while also tackling organic and water-deposited grime that conventional solvent cleaners may struggle with.
Surfex-HD is highly concentrated and can be adjusted to suit the level of contamination. It can be diluted from 1 part Surfex-HD to 100 parts water for light cleaning, through to neat use for extreme grease and oil removal. This makes it suitable for everything from general vehicle cleaning to heavy-duty degreasing.
It is suitable for a wide range of automotive and domestic surfaces, including paintwork, alloy wheels, tyres, fabrics, carpets, interior plastics and engine areas. It can be sprayed, brushed or applied using pressure-washer equipment, making it a versatile product for both professional detailers and enthusiasts. Always spot test before use.
Surfex-HD is available in 1L, 5L, 25L and 200L sizes. The 1L bottle is supplied with a trigger spray, while the larger sizes are supplied as bulk containers.
How to use
Use Surfex-HD on cool surfaces and dilute according to the level of contamination.
For light cleaning, dilute approximately 1:100. For heavier cleaning, increase the concentration as required, with Surfex-HD capable of being used neat for maximum grease and oil removal.
Apply by spray, brush or suitable pressure-washer equipment. For heavily soiled areas, apply liberally and allow a short dwell time before agitating with a suitable brush.
Rinse thoroughly with clean water after cleaning and do not allow the product to dry on the surface.
For pressure-washer use, Surfex-HD should be applied at approximately 4% concentration at the surface for effective cleaning.
For specific applications, different dilutions may be appropriate. For example, Bilt-Hamber recommends approximately 1–2% for upholstery, 2–3% for interior plastics, and around 10% for brake callipers.
